WELCOME TO DUNDAS! Located right on the beautiful Cannon River, just a few minutes from Northfield and within an hour of the Twin Cities area, Dundas is home to a vibrant and growing community. Check out our history, dating back to 1857, our six city parks, and our community organizations.

Dundas is a city in Rice County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,712 at the 2020 census. Dundas is sometimes found with its next door neighbor the city Northfield, Minnesota. United States. Our claim to famous history is Army Major General Ulysses G. McAlexander was born in Dundas in 1864.

PARKS AND RECREATION
Dundas is home to six parks, as well as a state trail.

Memorial Park is located at the south end of 1st Street on the east bank of the Cannon River.

Memorial Park has a beautiful Pavilion built in 2006, a playground area, horseshoe pits, a softball diamond, and hosts the Dundas Dukes baseball field and dugout. The Pavilion at Memorial Park is available for reservations.

Mill Park is located on Railway Street. A walking bridge over the river connects Mill Park to Memorial Park.

The Mill Towns State Trail is a planned recreational trail between Cannon Falls and Faribault. The first three miles of the trail have been built between Dundas and Northfield and are open to biking, blading, skating, walking, and running. The Mill Towns Trail Head, located downtown on the corner of Railway and Hester Streets, has a parking lot to accommodate snowmobiles and trailers, with plans for a proposed canoe landing.
